What is the Ticketmaster data breach and how many customers had their details stolen?

Ticketmaster - which controls 80 per cent of ticket sales across the globe - revealed in June 2018 it had been targeted by hackers.

The cyber crooks used "malicious software" on a third-party customer support programme called Inbenta, which is used by the site.

The company said 5 per cent of its customers across the globe were affected by the hack - including around 40,000 in the UK.

Their personal details including card and payment information may have been stolen.
