NINE varieties of soy sauces being sold in UK supermarkets have been recalled over fears they could contain glass.
Items sold at Asda, Tesco, Aldi and Waitrose are some of the affected products, the Food Standards Agency said.
Yesterday, The Sun Online already reported that Aldi removed some bottles of its dark and light Asia Specialities soy sauces from shelves because their packaging might be damaged.
But it now became clear that products from other supermarkets are also affected by the recall.
All the items that are being removed from shelves are imported into the UK by World Wise Foods. The supplier said a manufacturing error means some bottles may contain small fragments of glass.
According to the Food Standards Agency, the presence of glass means the product is unsafe to eat and presents a safety risk for shoppers.

The Sun Online has contacted Tesco, Asda, Waitrose for comment.
A spokesperson for Aldi said said: “We have recalled this product as a precaution as there is a possibility that the packaging is damaged and small pieces of the packaging could enter the product. Customers should return the product to their nearest store where they will receive a full refund.”
Customers who have bought the product are being urged to return it immediately to their nearest store for a full refund.
Point of sale notices are displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products.
Thousands of products are being recalled from supermarkets each year.
Many safety warnings for products are issued as a precautionary measure - but others are much more serious.
Last week, Sainsbury's recalled its own-brand fruit and honey seed snack bagsbecause some of them actually contain nuts.
Recently, the supermarket also pulled a batch of sliced beetroot from shelves over fears it may contain glass.
Boxes of Ritz Chipsters sold at B&M were also recalled as they don't declare that the crisps contain wheat which can be harmful for people who have a gluten intolerance.
