Chocolate fan launches petition to bring back Cadbury’s Flake Snow to shops
Since the petition launched yesterday it has already gained support from more than 2,000 signatures
A HEARTBROKEN chocolate fan has launched a petition to get Cadbury's to bring back its much-missed Flake Snow chocolate bar.
If you've never heard of it before it was a classic Flake with a white chocolate centre - totally dreamy.
The bar was sadly discontinued in 2008.
Yesterday, a petition was launched on to bring the bar back to shelves - it has already received over 2,000 signatures.
The bar was originally called a SnowFlake but it was renamed in 2003.
It caused a stir in 2000 when Anthea Turner and husband Grant Bovey were pictured eating one at their wedding in OK Magazine.
In a passionate call to arms, John Malogony, the man behind the petition wrote: "In 2008 Cadbury broke hearts by discontinuing the Snow Flake (or Flake Snow).
"The bizarre decision still baffles people to this day and it needs to be rectified.
"Say it with me now: BRING. IT. BACK! BRING. IT. BACK!"
At the time of publishing, 2,402 people have signed the petition, with one person claiming that the chocolate "should never have disappeared".
A spokesperson from Cadbury's said: "We are always happy to hear how much people love our Cadbury products past and present.
"Cadbury has been making delicious chocolate for over 100 years and we are continually reviewing and innovating our ranges to ensure we have the best offering for our consumers."
