GETTING school uniform ready before the summer holidays can seem extreme - but it’s worth trying to get to the shops earlier to get the best bargains.
Kitting out kids during their school years costs parents a staggering £6,543 over 12 years of education, according to a recent Oxfam poll.
So some high street retailers are running discounts as early as June for savvy parents looking to stock up.
This week, Marks and Spencer slashed prices on all school uniforms items by 20 per cent both in-store and online with prices starting from £4 for a long sleeve polo shirt.
Shirts, jumpers and trousers are also included in the sale offer, which is running until midnight on 3 July 2018.
But it's not actually the best deal around.
