Aldi launches new range of British craft beers – and they cost £1.29 each

ALDI has launched a new range of British craft beers - and they cost just £1.29 each.

The range includes 16 ales and beers that will be available in Aldi stores in England and Wales from this Sunday.

At £1.29 for a bottle of 500ml Aldi's beer is one of the cheapest we found online.

For example, one 330ml bottle of Toast craft lager at Tesco would set you back £1.80 – this means you would be paying 51p more for a smaller drink.

At Morrisons and Asda the cheapest 330ml bottle would cost you £1.55 and £1.64 respectively.

This weekend both of the supermarkets are running offers selling four beers for £6 - but the deal still doesn't beat Aldi's, where four bigger bottles are selling for £5.16.

What's included in Aldi's new range

HERE are the 16 ales and beers from Aldi's range

Lidl is the only supermarket we found with a cheaper beer available online - although you wouldn't get as much to choose from.

The rival discounter is selling a bottle of Hatherwood Gnarly Fox craft lager for £1.19 - 10p cheaper than Aldi.

Aldi's 16 ales - which are all in 500ml bottles with alcohol at 4.1 to 4.4 per cent ABV  - have different tastes and flavours, with Golden Host offering a buttery caramel taste, while 61 Deep Pale Al features notes of tropical fruit and citrus.

But there's a slight snag - the range is part of Aldi's "Specialbuys", so you'll have to be quick if you want to pick up the bargain beers.

If you're looking for new treats to sip during your bank holiday, Tesco just released frozen Strawberry daiquiris.

At just £1 each, the fruity sorbet contains 225 calories and 4 per cent alcohol - so it has a kick.

Prefer something a little stronger? Why not try Malibu's new mango flavoured rum. Meanwhile, B&M is selling a 10 pack of alcoholic ice-lollies for £3.

Strictly for adults, the lollies are also cheaper than the supermarket rival's versions, including Sainsbury's which is selling them in packs of four for £2.50.
