There’s a new CHOCOLATE Propercorn popcorn and we can’t wait to try it
The snack firm is adding an indulgent Chocolate variant to its popcorn range
SWEET treat lovers rejoice - Propercorn has extended its range of popcorn to include a new chocolate flavour.
Chocoholics have been shown some love from the popular confectionery makers and we can't wait to give it a try.
Appealing directly to those who are ''obsessed with chocolate'' i.e. almost everyone, Propercorn Chocolate will be available in supermarkets like Ocado and Waitrose in 80p single bags and £1.59 sharing bags.
Propercorn co-founder Cassandra Stavrou, said: “Popcorn continues to be the fastest growing category within crisps, snacks and nuts.
"And combining it with best-loved flavours like chocolate, will ensure that we continue to introduce more people to it as an everyday snack.”
The packs feature popcorn coated in dark cocoa combined with whole milk, sweet demerara and a sprinkling of sea salt.
We have no doubt these will be popular as sales of popcorn have doubled in the past five years, reaching more than £100million a year.
That has meant the number of shoppers reaching for crisps has been in steady decline, with sales falling by around £50million in the past two years.
It seems that new flavours and styles of customer favourites are becoming more common, as Doritos also recently launched two new snacks called Bits.
The potato snacks will come in both a BBQ and a spicy cheese flavour and will be priced at 75p.
