With the bank holiday weekend coming up it's a great time to get out into your garden and give the greenery some much needed TLC.

Though you may want to bring your brolly as it is looking like it might be a pretty gloomy bank holiday Monday.

But if you want to persevere and get your green fingers out, Wilko is having a sale on gardening tools.

Though some items are only available in store so you will need to brave the bank holiday weather to bag a bargain.

The cheapest tools on sale are Wilko's hand trowel, hand fork and hand transplanter, which cost 75p each, that's nearly £1 cheaper than Homebase's cheapest trowel which costs £1.70.

Wilko are also selling a digging spade and fork for £4.50 reduced from £6, a fair bit cheaper than Argos' digging spades and forks which go for £7.99, making the Wilko alternatives nearly £3.50 cheaper.

The sale also applies to branded goods like Spear and Jackson and as well as Wilko's functional range of own brand tools.

Spear and Jackson wishbone hand shears are on sale for £15 reduced down from £20, which even with the 25 per cent discount still isn't as cheap as Screwfix.

Screwfix is selling the same Spear and Jackson wishbone shears for £12.74, a full £2.26 cheaper than buying from Wilko.
