TSB bank chaos continues as it admits some problems will not be fixed until the end of the month
The banking giant had earlier warned its hundreds of thousands of users that it was carrying out routine upgrades over the weekend
TSB has admitted that some problems will not be fixed until the end of the month as thousands of customers are still struggling to access to their accounts.
The bank, which launched in 2013, has suffered from a technical meltdown after an update to its computer systems.
Earlier today it said that it was working "hard and fast" to restore online banking and app services for customers.
Some customers have even claimed to have seen other TSB users' bank account details when they log in to the banking app.
But, a number of customers still had issues on Sunday night and the TSB revealed it was working to right the problems.
One customer was reportedly credited with £13,000 he didn't have - and claimed he could see the details of someone else's account.
Laim McKenzie, 20, from Paisley in Scotland told The Sun that he signed into his banking app shortly after 6pm on Sunday and saw someone else’s account as well as his own.
He said: “A substantial amount, £13,000, which is a lot more than I have!"
“I got back into my account again at 7pm and it showed that nothing was in my account at all - not even my overdraft was there, just showed as 0.00"
"I was absolutely worried when I saw what was going in my account".
Laim now plans to switch banks because of problems he had with TSB this weekend.
He added: “[I feel] pretty uneasy to be honest, if it's happening to me does it mean it's happening to my family/friends as well?
“The fact TSB weren't offering valid replies wasn't much help for a lot of people, because lots were worried but weren't being told what was going on."
"You don't mess with people’s money, because it's how people get around, pay their bills etc - not knowing what's going on with it is a really uneasy feeling."
Lots of other TSB customers have been having the same issues, a mum-of-one hasn't had any access to cash since Friday and is still locked out of her account.
TSB meltdown: what are your rights?
IF you’re one of the potentially millions of customers affected by TSB’s online banking problems then here are your rights.
- Will your expenses be covered? If you suffer knock-on costs then the bank has confirmed it will reimburse you. Make a note of dates, keep reciepts and a log of how much you've been left out of pocket.
- What are the alternatives? Visit a branch or try telephone banking if you urgently need to access cash.
- Is it a data breach? The bank has denied that there has been a data breach but we've asked for more information on this and will update asap. Don't spend money in your account that isn't yours as you will be liable to pay it back.
- How to complain about your bank? Firstly, complain to TSB. If the problem is not resolved to your satisfaction after 8 weeks then you can complain to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
TSB customer Matthew Neal was given access to accounts beloning to another user including a £34,000 savings account, a £11,000 ISA and a business account.
Speaking to the Matthew said: "I could see their account numbers, sort codes and transaction histories and I had access to transfer money too, if I was that way inclined."
"The thing that was worrying me most was: what if someone can see mine too?"
Matthew went to check his account after 6pm on Sunday just to see how much he had spent at the pub the night before.
When opened the TSB app he saw the bank details that were definitely not his own.
He tried to call his bank but was left on hold for 45 minutes and gave up.
TSB customer bank account showed a £308,000 mortgage debt
A TSB customer who wants to remain unnamed said that when she opened her TSB account this morning she suddenly owed $430,000 on her mortgage.
The journalist, 31, working for the Press Association, told The Sun: "I bank with TSB but I also have a mortgage with them."
"I saw what was happening to TSB and just wanted to check my bank balances."
"When I looked at my mortgage this morning it said that I owe $430,000(£308,000) in arrears."
"It was absolutely crazy when I saw that $430,000(£308,000) in my bank account."
"That figure is huge and bit scary but I am not that stressed about it as the bank will rectify it at some point."
"It's weird that it is all coming up in dollars, even my monthly repayment of what is left on my mortgage is now being displayed in dollars."
"I know it's wrong as I should owe around £98,000 on my mortgage and that the bank will rectify it, but it did make me worry a little bit as it is a mortgage and it might affect my credit rating."
"I tried ringing TSB and all there was was an apology message saying they were having issues and that to check the website for updates."
"I am considering switching banks because of this, I have never had any problems with TSB in the past but it is quite a big issue."
"I don't want any compensation I just want it to be fixed right away."
"I have another year left on my mortgage with TSB but I would like to leave sooner."
Since then he has not been able to access his accounts.
Other customers took to Twitter to complain.
Christopher Burns said on Twitter: "Its a joke mate. Were stranded abroad as still saying we have nothing. We had rest of our holiday money there and have been stuck in apartment all day"
Patrick Johnson was left with no money in his account this weekend after the updates stopped him from accessing his cash.
Tom Owen has also been unable to access his money saying: "Hey @TSB, nice to see the App and online banking are still down. Not been able to access any money since 4pm Friday, #jokeshop #switchbanks."
Another customer who said they saw someone else's bank details was Cheryl Millan.
On Twitter Cheryl said: "Went into my @TSB app last night and saw I had nearly a £1000's more than I should have before I could click into it a message popped up saying something went wrong.".
One customer who wishes to remain anonymous said: "Just logged onto my TSB banking this morning to discover I'm apparently $430,000 in arrears on my mortgage... I'm not at all and have never missed a payment. No idea why the sum is in dollars and not GBP either. "
TSB's website was also down this morning, leaving customers unable to check their money online or in the bank's app.
Though the website does now seem to be running again, many customers still can't log in to their accounts.

The TSB earlier issued a statement apologising to customers for the problems.
A spokesperson said: “We are currently experiencing large volumes of customers accessing our mobile app and internet banking which is leading to some intermittent issues with people accessing our services.
"We are really sorry for the inconvenience this is causing our customers and want them to know we are working as hard and as fast as we can to resolve this problem.”
The spokesperson added that there had not been a "data breach". She said: "We can confirm the access issues, which lasted only about 20 minutes and impacted just a tiny fraction of our customer base, were fixed last night.”
The bank confirmed that customers would not be left out of pocket as a result of the issue.
