Amazon sells thousands of ‘secret’ own-brand products – but are they cheaper?

Amazon has stopped being the go-between for customers and is instead taking on the role of retailer

AMAZON has well established itself as the middle man between retailers and customers - but now they have changed routes.

After launching their own line of private label products this year - which includes an incredible 70 ''secret'' own brand items - here we run down all you need to know about their products - and crucially, whether they are a good deal or not.

Passion for fashion

This year the multi-billion pound company is set to become one of the world's largest clothing retailers.

Amazon's total share of the apparel and footwear sales will by the end of 2018.

For Amazon's European fashion label '''' - which launched last year - prices start from just £7, including the hoodie below.

An F&F from Tesco, a similar hoodie, comes in a little higher at £12.00, meaning Amazon is actually undercutting supermarket rivals.

In the Happy Belly range a 500g bag of Californian Almonds is £4.91.

Luxury Almond brand Fudco, which is sold in Sainsbury's and Morrisons, sells a 500g bag of the nuts for £5 - making Amazon cheaper by 9p.

But as we know, once you start adding up those pennies you can start saving some serious cash...
