Mr Kipling has made royal wedding cakes for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s big day – but you’ll have to be quick
The bakery is launching three types of cakes to celebrate the occasion - the bridal fancies, the princely pies and wedding whirls, all for £1 each
BRITISH favourite Mr Kipling is celebrating the royal wedding with three new bridal-themed cakes.
As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie-the-knot in May, we'll be tucking into a selection of bridal fancies, princely pie and wedding whirls.
Of course, they're the popular favourites with a celebratory twist.
The bridal fancies are a take on the popular French fancies. They're still made from the light and fluffy vanilla sponge but covered in a smooth, pure white fondant.
The princely pies are really just apple pies that have simply been re-packaged in a Union flag box.
The same goes for the wedding whirls which are actually just Viennese whirls.
The packets of cakes all cost £1 each and come in batches of six - apart from the bridal fancies that have eight in a box.
They're actually not too bad value for money, considering a box of Viennese whirls normally cost around £1.60, although you can get them for 75p on offer at Iceland.
