Lidl is selling a WHOLE cooked lobster for £6
The discount lobsters will be available in stores across the UK from Thursday this week
IF you've ever fancied to try some lobster without paying the hefty price tag - you might just be luck.
No one loves a bargain more than a toff, and for those adventurous enough to shop at a budget store, Lidl is now selling a whole cooked lobster for just £5.99.
Weighing in at 350g, the so-called “sustainable deluxe whole cooked lobster” will be available in stores from Thursday this week (March 8) until stocks last.
It's a pretty fintastic deal (sorry!) considering a whole shellfish at Asda will set you back £10 - although it also weights 50g more.
Iceland is also selling uncooked
Lobsters sold in UK supermarkets for less than £15 are usually from the US or Canada where their numbers have been growing in recent years.
So the North American lobster is allowed to be harvested at a smaller size because their populations are thriving.
This means it can also be sold at a lower price.

Sadly, lobsters from these shores are much smaller than their British equivalent.
In 2016, Lidl delivered one of its best festive sales performance ever, helped by strong sales of vegetables typically eaten at Christmas, turkey but also cheap lobster.
More food offers
Boosted by a Twitter campaign promoting a cut-price lobster at £2.99, the supermarket was able to record 40,000 sales in one day.
If you're not into lobster, Lidl has other tasty products on offer as part of its Spring promotion.
These include a Lamb rump Wellington available for £5.99 as well as two "Bumblebee Deluxe sausage rolls", which cost £1.99.

If you're looking for other posh food products sold at a discount price, rival Aldi just brought back its popular bargain Wagyu beef burgers.
The burgers are available for a limited time only across all UK stores for £3.49.
