Lidl is selling HOT CROSS BUN ice cream – but you’ll have to be quick
IT isn't really ice cream weather outside - but Lidl's latest offer could be tempting enough to convince you otherwise.
The budget supermarket has upped the stakes this Easter by bringing out hot cross bun flavoured ice-cream and it is available in stores from today.
The treat, which will cost you £1.99 for a 480ml jar, is made with British double cream and whole milk.
It is then swirled through with cinnamon sauce and juicy raisins.
As delicious as it sounds, it's not ideal if you're watching your waistline with 129 calories per 100ml or nearly 645 calories per jar.
If you're tempted, you'll have to be quick as the sweet treat will only be available while stocks last and may be snapped up quite quickly.
For those looking for other alternatives - Marks & Spencer launched salted caramel flavoured hot cross buns.
The twist on the carby Easter classic comes with dark Belgian chocolate chips, salted caramel fudge and toffee pieces.
