B&M is selling 5 litre kegs of Magners for £10 – but is it a good deal?
Shoppers have spotted giant kegs of cider in some B&M stores - but you can get more for your money at Sainsbury's with a box of 18 cans that cost £10
BARGAIN hunters are snapping up kegs of cider of B&M that cost less than a tenner - but you can actually get more for your money at Sainsbury's.
The £9.99 kegs hold up five litres of Magners cider and at first glance it looks like a great deal.
But savvy shoppers on are warning others not to fall for the price.
You can actually buy a box of 18 cans of Magners Irish Original cider for a tenner at Sainsbury's.
Each can holds 440ml so in total that's 7,920ml - or nearly eight litres - for the same price.
Of course, pouring your booze from a keg is a novelty but you should know that if you buy this one from B&M, you'll be paying premium.
Cider is normally drunk in the summer so kegs of the apple based booze are hard to come by.
Morrisons sold them last summer for £16 so the B&M price is a good deal if it's a keg you're after.
Besides, no other UK supermarket is selling it at the moment so if you do want to get your hands on it, B&M's the place to go.
Just bear in mind that if you do want to grab the bargain and save it for summer, you'll need to make sure you've got somewhere to store it.
The kegs might not be available in all branches, as some shoppers are struggling to find them in stock in their local stores.
