Your old My Little Pony could be worth more than £450 – here’s how to cash in

But who knew that those plastic, hollow ponies from the 80s could soon be worth a small fortune.
Some My Little Pony toys from the 80s are selling for more than £450 EACH on eBay and they don't even have to be in the box.
Often, vintage toys sell better when they're in mint condition and still in their original packaging but it doesn't seem to matter when it comes to the pony dolls.
It's a franchise that's dominated the toy industry over the past nearly 30 years, even getting its own line of movies, books, TV series and even a cult male following called Bronies.
And thanks to the unique symbols painted on their sides they've become collectables. So it might be time to rummage through your old toy box ...

This rare My Little Pony from the 80s has pretty little strawberries on the hinds of the horse, although they're pretty faint now.
The seller listed it as "used" and it didn't come in its original box.

This particular toy was made in the el Graco factory in Greece, which was the only foreign maker licensed by Hasbro.

SELLING things on eBay can be a big money earner - when you're doing it right. Here are the dangers you need to avoid if you want to make a profit:
- You need to set a minimum price on your auction. It needs to be higher or at least value to what you're selling, otherwise it could be bought for less than it's worth. This is exactly what happened when someone sold a new £10 note for less than a tenner.
- Even if your item sells, there's no guarantee the buyer will cough up. When you set up the auction you can opt for the highest bidder to pay straight away.
