Deliveroo and MEATliquor are selling a £2.68 copycat of a McDonald’s Happy Meal – but you’ll have to be quick
BURGER chain MEATliquor and Deliveroo have teamed up to launch their own version of a Mcdonald's Happy Meal, in an attempt to appeal to your inner child.
The so-called "Ecstatic Meal", which costs £2.69 or the exact same price as Maccies' kids classic, will be available from lunchtime today.
It essentially consists of the Dead Hippie, which is apparently one of Deliveroo's most popular dishes globally and also a favourite with MEATliquor's customers.
The tasty burger is made of two French’s mustard-fried beef patties, sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and minced white onion. It comes with hash browns and a drink.
It wouldn't be the same as the kid's classic from the golden arches without a toy - so your meal will come with a range of quirky presents including a squidgy unicorn poop toy or a hungry shark stressball.
The limited edition treat will be available exclusively on the Deliveroo app from 12pm today (Friday 26 January).
The offer is available whilst stocks last, so we would advise you to be quick if you want to have a taste of the copycat meal.
Deliveroo anticipates the offer will be available for at "least a few weeks".
Commenting on the offer, Joe Groves at Deliveroo said: “Everyone hates January. You’re skint from Christmas, all of your boring friends are running rather than going to the pub and it’s really, really cold.
"We won’t stand for this! And at a price that doesn’t leave anyone out in the cold we hope to banish the blues – if only for a day.”
In November, the company launched a subscription service to give customers unlimited deliveries – although you'll need to be a huge takeaway fan to benefit.
Super eaters that sign up to Deliveroo Plus — priced at £7.99 a month— won't have to pay Deliveroo's £2.50 delivery fee each time they place an order.

- A toy, which will range from a squidgy unicorn poop toy to a hungry shark stressball.

But to really benefit from the offer you would need to be ordering takeaway at least once a week.
The subscription service is just one of the latest initiative from the company, which continues to compete with rival UberEats and JustEat.
Last year, KFC partnered with food ordering app and website Just Eat to offer deliveries from around 30 Greater London branches.
