There’s a new way to earn extra Tesco Clubcard points
Shoppers using Tesco Pay+ can collect an extra Clubcard point for every £4 they spend on top of the four points you already earn
TESCO shoppers can now collect more Clubcard points if they pay for their shopping via the Tesco Pay+ app.
Customers can earn an extra point for every £4 they spend on top of the points that they already earn.
They first ran the offer when they app was launched in September but it ended on January 14.
Now it looks like they are launching it again and it's valid until February 28.
The supermarket's loyalty reward scheme lets shoppers collect points as they shop which they can then use to claim vouchers to spend at Tesco.
Normally, savvy shoppers can earn one point for every £1 spent but now they can earn five points instead of four when they spend £4 via the app.
How to reclaim lost Clubcard points
MOST people lose or forget their Tesco voucher but it's easy to claim back up to two years or unused vouchers.
The supermarket doesn't remind you of vouchers that you have leftover, so it's up to you to check.
Log into the Tesco Clubcard website and check for unspent vouchers.
You’ll see a tab saying "my vouchers" and this will list the ones you still have to spend.
You can print the vouchers to use them in store or note down the number and visit the to exchange them.
Each clubcard point is worth 1p. You'll need to collect 150 points - £1.50 worth - before you can receive the vouchers during the collection period.
Tesco Pay+ replaced the supermarket's PayQwiq app and links with your bank account or credit card, and automatically collects points when you use it to spend.
You can also use the app to pay at their petrol stations but there's a maximum spend of £250.
The app is free and available for both Apple products and Android. You can download it from the app store on your phone.
The supermarket has come into hot water earlier this week after it announced plans to "simplify" the structure of its store teams.
Latest the supermarkets
The move will put 1,700 jobs as risk as it intends to erase people manager and compliance manager roles at its large stores.
The news comes only a few months after they announced the closure of one of its call centres with the loss of up to 1,100 jobs.
At the beginning of last year, it also culled 1,600 deputy store manager roles in its smaller stores, with junior staff left to pick up the slack.
