ALDI has announced a massive baby and toddler sale for cash-strapped parents across the UK – with prices starting at just £2.99.
The average British family spends more than £800 on gifts, food and drink and decorations according to figures from VoucherCodes and the Centre for Retail Research (CRR).
So many people could be facing up to a financial hangover when the bills arrive in January.
Now Aldi has brought back its popular baby and toddler sale just in time for parents looking to make a saving on essential items for their little ones.
The event – which boasts a wide range of baby essentials – will take place online from Sunday January 14th and across all Aldi stores from the 18th.
Some of the items hitting shops include a nursery wardrobe, which costs £119.99, a cot bed with a drawer priced at £129.99, and a nursery changing unit selling for £99.99.

Other items in the budget supermarket's sale include its popular moses basket selling for £19.99 and the soft cellular blanket available for just £2.99 each.
There's also a baby sleeping bag, available for £9.99, perfect for the cold British winter.
The Hauck Travel system, which includes a car seat, changing bag, and a foot muff, will also be exclusively available online at Aldi for just under £100 or 35 per cent down from its normal price of £154.99.
Nappies, clothes, food are also included in the sale.

“Everyone knows that finances in January can be tight, which is why Aldi is committed to helping parents save as much money as possible," Julie Ashfield from Aldi said.
Sadly, you'll need to be quick to pick up the discounted items.
This is because the range is part of Aldi's SpecialBuys.

This means the items are sold on a first come, first served basis and "once they're gone, they're gone."
For example when one of the supermarket's latest specialbuy - a mega-cheap Brauhn 4k 49inch LE TV for £320 - went on sale in October, the Sun Online revealed that the stores with the largest amount of stock had just six TVs in stock when their doors opened at 8am.
