READY to double your money? Today is the day many retailers begin to offer double discounts on sale items.
It sees already-reduced prices slashed a SECOND time, with deals up to 80 per cent off.

- Check the claimed reductions are genuine. Use websites and to check previous prices for items.
- Sign up to to get the latest crowd-sourced double discounts.
- If an item has so far been discounted just once this festive season, check by how much. The greater the cut, the more likely the price will drop again.
- If an item you fancy has not yet been double-discounted, do not be afraid to haggle for that second price cut. Try the manager in-store or the live chat function online. You are most likely to succeed on seasonal items but give anything a go. If you do not ask, you do not get.
