Lidl’s sell-out raspberry and rhubarb gin liqueurs are back – and they cost just £12 each
The bargain retailer claims it sold over 400 bottles an hour of the two pink gin liqueurs in November
GIN sippers and thoughtful gift givers can rejoice, Lidl’s sell-out pink gin liqueurs are back on shelves just in time for Christmas.
The Hortus gin liqueurs, which cost just £11.99 each for a 50cl bottle, are Lild’s fastest-selling ones to date.
The bargain retailer claims it sold over 400 bottles – or seven per minute – when the drinks were first released in November.
The popular liqueurs, which come in two flavours, Rhubarb and Ginger as well as Scottish Raspberry, are now back in stores.
Both are hand crafted and traditionally distilled in copper stills.
They’re also £6 cheaper than similar gin liqueurs from Edinburgh Gin, which for a bottle the same size.

Lidl’s spirits consultant, Tristan Stephenson, said the Hortus Scottish Raspberry gin could be consumed on its own, over ice, or as part of a Spritz with champagne.
While the Rhubarb and Ginger gin goes well with an earthy ginger beer, replacing your usual tonic mixer.

Earlier this year, the bargain retailer added a load of posh gins to is shelves – and they all cost under £20 a bottle.
Bottles of craft gin cost around £40 a bottle, so the price is pretty good.
Aldi’s £10 gin – that was ranked as one of the best in the world – is also available in stores.
But the retailers don’t always come out on top when it comes to gin.
In a taste test by a panel of experts earlier this year – including, chef Michel Roux Jr, First Dates love ambassador Fred Sirieix and food critic Giles Coren – it was a bottle of bog standard Gordon’s that came out on top.
