Co-op’s £10 frozen Xmas dinner meal deal comes with all the trimmings
The £10 dinner from Co-op comes with a turkey, Yorkshire puddings and even dessert
CO-OP is bringing back its festive frozen meal offer – where customers can pick up everything they need for Christmas dinner for a discount price.
According to the supermarket, the festive feast will feed a family of four for just £10 instead of £20.
Products in the offer include frozen turkey, sprouts, peas, potatoes, parsnips, Yorkshire puddings and a dessert.
It’s worth noting that Co-op usually sells the turkey joint alone for a tenner, so it’s a good way to stock up on roast essentials even if you don’t use it on Christmas itself.
The festive dinner deal will be available in Co-op stores from December 13 until January the third.
The supermarket pointed out that the deal means a family of four could have Christmas dinner for just £2.50 each.
That’s 69p cheaper than Good Housekeeping’s Christmas dinner price index, which crowned Lidl the winner for 11 essential festive feast items.
It compared prices across 10 supermarkets to work out the cheapest basket of goods for a family of eight, including products like turkey, mince pies and cranberry sauce.

Some shoppers may be disappointed to find that the £10 deal from Co-op doesn’t include all these Christmas essentials like mince pies but for the discount price it’s a good way for roast dinner fans to stock up on freezer fillers.
According to Good Housekeeping, this year our Christmas dinner basket will be the most expensive since the tracker began in 2009.
Nine supermarkets are more expensive than last year, with Aldi, Morrisons and Iceland all increasing their prices by over 13 per cent.
Surprisingly, the only supermarket whose basket has got cheaper is Marks & Spencer.
The most expensive supermarket, which will come as no surprise to most, was posh retailer Waitrose with its Christmas dinner basket costing £41.47.
