Morrisons slashes the cost of petrol by 10p a litre – but you’ll have to be quick to take advantage
MORRISONS is cutting the price of petrol by 10p a litre for cash-strapped customers ahead of Black Friday - but you'll need to hurry up to take advantage.
Earlier this month motorists were warned that petrol and diesel prices could soar by up to 12p per litre.
The price could also rise if the Chancellor Philip Hammond increases the rate of fuel duty in line with inflation in this week's Budget.
To ease the pain at the pumps, Morrisons is now offering a Black Five Days Fuel deal to all its supermarket customers.
Morrisons estimates that for a typical 50 litre car, motorists will save £5 every time they fill their car up thanks to the deal.
The offer will be available from today - Monday November 20 - until Sunday November 26, for shoppers who spend at least £50 in Morrisons stores.

Steve Mosey, Morrisons services director, said: “Motorists could face a triple-whammy of rising petrol prices, extra fuel tax and a busy Christmas shopping season so we’re doing what we can to help them afford to run their cars.”
Economists are predicting an increase in the price of fuel before Christmas.
This follows an increase in the price of oil of more than 30 per cent since the summer.
