BEACH-loving David Cameron has treated himself to a £2million holiday home on the Cornish coast.
The former PM, 51, was said by sources to have taken out a “big mortgage” because he expects to earn a fortune from his memoirs.
The house, near one owned by TV chef Gordon Ramsay, is described as massive.
Mr Cameron has holidayed for years in the area with wife Samantha, 46, and their three children.
The source said: “The house overlooks a beautiful beach beneath the cliffs.
“It’s what dreams are made of for most people.
“He’s been telling locals that a pad there has been on his bucket list for a while.”
A spokesman for Mr Cameron confirmed: “David has always loved spending time in Cornwall and has dreamt of having his own place there.
“He looks forward to spending more time in that beautiful part of the world.”
A local estate agent said of the house: “From what I understand it was a private sale so was never advertised.
“It would have been a word of mouth purchase.”
Locals have since seen the former Tory leader taking deliveries of furniture.
Earlier this year he was photographed in a wetsuit as he braved the chilly surf at nearby Polzeath.
It was during a family holiday in Cornwall that his youngest child Florence, now seven, was born.
She was given the middle name Endellion, which is that of a nearby village.
The Camerons’ main home is in London’s Notting Hill.
It was rented out while he was in No10.
