Sainsbury's Christmas brioche comes in a Snow Globe shaped packaging and comes with shining edible stars.

The star-topped sandwich, which costs a hefty £3.50, is filled with butter-basted British turkey breast and beechwood smoked streaky bacon.

It also comes with Brussels sprout slaw, British pork stuffing, mayonnaise and a sweet cranberry and port sauce.

Greggs' festive bake is back and five other Christmas treats you have to try

The Sun Online is not quite sure we need shining stars with our lunch, but then again Marks & Spencer recently introduced a Christmas pudding smoothie to wash down with our meal - so when it comes to festive ranges it seems like all ideas are welcome.

The Snow Globe is only one of the five festive Sainsbury's sandwiches to hit the shelves this week.

But if you want something more traditional you can go for the supermarket's turkey feast wrap for £2.35 or its classic Brie and Cranberry sandwich for £2.20.
