Is this the cheapest fake Christmas tree? Argos is selling a 6ft one for £15
WITH just over a month to go until the big day, it's time to start thinking about your Christmas tree.
If you're not one for spending a small fortune on a real tree that will only last one Christmas, then an artificial centrepiece is probably the way forward for you.
Buying a fake Christmas tree doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg, with Argos selling a 6ft artificial tree for little over a tenner.
The HOME Noel 6ft Christmas Tree is just £14.99 and comes in two parts so it's easy to put together.
It comes with plenty of room under the tree for presents and the bottom branch is 32 inches in diameter.
The top is pointed too, which means that you'll have no trouble putting on a festive topper - like a star or an angel.
Although it looks a little more sparse than a posher tree from Next, it is £50 cheaper than their 6ft Forest Pine Christmas Tree which costs £65.
The Sun Online hasn't seen the tree up close so we can't say whether it's the best looking but we can say it's one of the cheapest ones going.
The tree is also available from Argos on Fast Track delivery which means you can get it the same day for £3.95 - but this depends on your postcode so it's worth checking out before placing an order.
The second cheapest 6ft tree on sale at the moment is only a penny dearer at £15 for the Greenland Christmas Tree from Tesco.
It's a lighter green than the one from Argos and has a more traditional Christmas tree shape, and comes with a stand.
Budget homeware store Wilkos is selling a pre-lit Christmas tree for £35 - so there's no hassle untying last year's fairy lights. They're also selling a half tree for £25.
Although a half tree sounds a bit pointless, they're actually great for homes that struggle for space and they're good to put in hallways or put flat up against a wall.
The cheapest 6ft Christmas tree from Homebase will set you back £30 for the Green Alaska Artificial Christmas Tree.
Bizarrely, the 7ft Green Montana Artificial Christmas Tree costs half the price from Homebase - but of course we all know that when it comes to Christmas trees, bigger isn't always better as it depends what size will fit in your house.
B&Q offer a great middle-of-the-market tree for £20 in a dark green colour, and you can also buy a matching wreath and garland.
But if you're looking for one cheap as chips, then you're wallet might thank you for buying the Argos tree.
It's worth noting that even as we were gathering our research, the cheapest trees were selling out fast so you'll need to act quickly if you want to bag a bargain.
Of course, once you've bought the tree you'll need to decorate it with fairy lights and baubles.
TREE-MENDOUS When is Twelfth Night 2017, what is it and why is it traditional to take down your Christmas tree on January 5?
Primark is selling Disney Christmas baubles that come in packs of four for just £4 - or you can pick up special single ones for £5 each.
Or if you're ready to celebrate the festive season with booze then you'll probably want to pick up this 99p bauble from Home Bargains which you can fill with alcohol as well as hang them on your tree.
