Amazon Black Friday 2017 – Prime members to get early access to lightening deals as it reveals a TEN day sale
ONLINE shoppers will be able to bag bargains over TEN days as Amazon holds a mammoth long sale all thanks to Black Friday.
On top of the sales, there will also be thousands of flash Lightning Deals, where customers who are signed up to their premium service, Amazon Prime, will be able to get early access to them.
Last week, Amazon shoppers were left worried that their Black Friday deals would be compromised after an online glitch that meant many suppliers have been left unable to stock up.
But instead of sticking to just one day of sales on November 24 like most retailers, Amazon are stretching it out to last more than a week.
Running from November 17 to 26, the Amazon Black Friday sale will see major discounts across ranges like electronics, Amazon devices, toys, fashion, jewellery and beauty.
The Deals of the Day will also see sales items like electronics, pet supplies and kitchenware exclusive to a particular day.
The Lightning Deals will see extra discounts, in limited supply and available for a short period of time, with Amazon promising new deals coming available as often as every five minutes.
Prime members, including customers , will have an exclusive 30 minute early access period to all Lightning Deals.
But remember, if you do sign up to a free trial to make the most of the deals you'll need to cancel the subscription before the trial period is up or you'll be charged the full £79 for the year.
Prime members will also be able to receive their orders within 60 minutes on selected products to certain postcodes meaning you'll be able to get ahead of the game when it comes to wrapping presents this year.
Shoppers who prefer to use the Amazon app will also be able to enjoy the discounts, as well as set up Watch-a-Deal alerts to notify you when a particular item is featured in a deal.
How to make sure you get the best deal on Amazon Black Friday
WITH just over a month before Christmas Day, you'll want to make sure that you're getting the best deal online when it comes to buying presents. Here's how to get the best deals on Amazon:
- Check to check the product's price history to see if you really are getting a good deal, or whether you could get a better one later if you held out. You can also set up price alerts to let you know when the cost drops.
- Use to check whether the item is genuine or not. The site scans the reviews to see if they're "reliable" or not so you can decide whther you trust the seller.
- Sign up to the 30 day Amazon Prime trial to take advantage of the Lightning Deals and free delivery. But remember to cancel the subscription before the trial is up or you'll be charged the full £79.
- Put the items you want in your basket ahead of Black Friday so that when the deals drop on November 24, all you'll have to do is pay.
Smaller businesses from Amazon Marketplace will also be taking part in the sales.
This year, the online retailer is launching a four-day popup "experience" in London, called Home to Black Friday, from 12:30 pm to 7:30 pm from November 21 to 24.
Here, festive shoppers will be able to find discounts on presents from hundred of Marketplace businesses as well as take part in workshops.
But they won't be able to buy the items there as they'll still need to purchase them through the Amazon app.
The online retailer has also launched their Christmas advert which sees Amazon parcels harmoniously singing Roger Hodgson's Give a Little Bit as they make their way to their delivery addresses.
