There’s a new drink on the Starbucks Christmas menu and it’s COLD
FORGET about a winter warmer because Starbucks has unveiled its latest drink to be added to the Christmas menu.
The Festive Cold Brew is a seasonal twist on the all year round Cold Brew, and is made with a spice syrup and finished with orange and cranberry pieces.
The popular coffee chain is challenging the idea of a wrapping up warm for the colder months and offering customers a chance to cool down with the newest drink.
The Cold Brew is available on the menu all year round but it is served with a shot of vanilla sweet cream instead of the spiced syrup.
Like it's name suggests, it's a cold coffee served over ice. Starbucks brews the coffee for 20 hours in cool water and customers usually sip it through a straw.
You'll be able to try the new addition in cafes from November 2, for £3.10 for a Tall.
If you're put off by the thought of drinking something warm when on a break from Christmas shopping then this probably for you.
But coffee lovers who can't resist a hot drink will be pleased to know that the Gingerbread Latte, the Toffee Nut Latte, the Eggnog Latte and the Fudge Hot Chocolate will be returning to the menu too.
The eggnog latte is probably the most controversial drink on the menu but nevertheless it's going to be back in time for Christmas.
Eggnog is a festive drink made from milk, cream, sugar, whipped egg whites and egg yolks traditionally drunk in the US and has a love it or hate it taste.
This festive twist on the latte is made from real eggnog and espresso and topped off with a dusting of ground nutmeg for the perfect finish.
A LATTE TROUBLE? Starbucks’ Christmas cup design has already leaked online and not everyone is happy with it
Every year fans get excited about what the newest design for the Christmas cup will be.
But already the coffee chain's top secret Christmas cup design has already been leaked online - and not everyone is impressed with it.
The drinks on the festive menu cost £3.15 for a short cup and £3.20 for a short Fudge Hot Chocolate, and are also available from November 2.
Starbucks is being very secretive about what's on the food menu this year, but last year they had a whole range of festive paninis and sandwiches - with a baguette for vegetarians too.
