HAVING A BUBBLE

Asda’s award-winning £5 Prosecco is back – but you’ll have to be quick

FIZZ lovers can stack up on their favourite drink ahead of Christmas thanks to Asda’s latest deal.

The budget supermarket will be selling its award-winning Yellow Label Prosecco for just £5 helping fizz fans to get the most bubbly for their buck.

Available nationwide and online, the offer is for a limited seven days only.

Available nationwide and online, the offer is for a limited seven days only.

The offer will run from this Thursday October 26 until Wednesday November 1. It will be available both in stores and online.

Asda’s Yellow Label Prosecco, which won Silver at the 2017 Decanter Awards and Bronze at the International Wine Challenge, has a zesty lemon, pear and apple fruit flavour.

The retailer claims it is the ideal drink to pair with seafood or to sip alongside any spicy dish.

The offer comes as Brits’ thirst for sparkling wine continues to grow with the nation drinking an extra 12.8 million litres this year, according to the last figure from Kantar Worldpanel.

Asda predicts a 100 per cent sales boost on the seven days compared to a regular week as British households gear up for the festive season and hunt for bargains.

Are there any catches?

As with many good deals, it's worth noting that the offer will be available for seven days only starting from this Thursday.

This means you'll have to be quick to get the deal.

You can search for your nearest.

You can also order it online but remember that you must now spent at least £40 to get it delivered to your door.

This means you would have to order a minimum of eight bottles.

Alternatively, you can also collect it for free.

Is it worth it?

Asda claims its fizz will be the cheapest on offer in the run-up to Christmas, with Prosecco typically priced at £6 or more.

But bargain hunters can currently snap up bottles of Prosecco worth £6 at Sainsbury's for just £1.50 each - if they're willing to jump through a few hoops.

The deal is valid until October 31 for Sainsbury's new online customers.

Existing Sainsbury’s shoppers - excluding those in Scotland - could still get it for £4.50 per bottle, according to who first revealed the trick.

To get the discount, shoppers must combine three separate deals.

Excluding Sainsbury's hack - it does seem like Asda currently has the cheapest fizz on offer.

LOVELY BUBBLY We reveal the cheapest (and most expensive) bottle of supermarket prosecco

Discount website Vouchercloud previously analysed the UK’s top supermarkets to find out how you can really get the most Prosecco for your money.

Of course, the data doesn’t take into account the quality of the alcohol so  that may be reflected in the price.

It found that is the cheapest at just £5.25 per bottle.

So Lidl will be your best option once both Sainsbury's and Asda's offers run out.
