IF you're a fan of posh meat then you might want to head down to Lidl.
The budget supermarket just released a 21 days matured, dry-aged British beef côte de boeuf - and it’s £15 cheaper than at Waitrose.
The massive joint of beef, is to go on sale today at £14.99 a kg at Lidl.
A similar cut would set you back £29.99 a kg at Waitrose or nearly double the cost.
It also sells for £82.50 per kg at trendy London steak restaurant Hawksmoor - and that’s before adding the chips.
It is worth noting that the côte de boeuf from Waitrose is a 30 day dry-aged steak, so it might have a superior flavour to the cut from the budget supermarket.
Meanwhile, Hawksmoor restaurant is known to serve one of the best steaks in London, so we'll be surprised if your beef from Lidl prepared at home tastes as good.
But, if you're looking for a budget alternative then it is worth checking out Lidl's offer.
Côte de bœuf is basically a massive rib-eye steak that includes the rib bone.

Meat from both budget supermarket chains have made the list, with Aldi's Specially Selected 30-day aged fillet steak costing just over a fiver.
Morrisons is also known for its generous offers for meat lovers.
