Posh magazine Tatler reveals must-buy items from Aldi and Lidl
Live the Tatler lifestyle on a budget with these affordable steaks, champagnes and fancy candles
CHEAPER products on the shelves of Aldi and Lidl have been given the stamp of approval from posh lifestyle magazine, Tatler.
Steak, duck breast and booze have all made it on to the list - and they won't break the bank either.
Tatler said that it's put together the handy shopping list to help you "get your weekly essentials on the cheap", because "no one loves a bargain more than a toff".
And we can't resist one either.
Meat from both budget supermarket chains have made the list, with Aldi's Specially Selected 30-day aged fillet steak costing just over a fiver.
They have also picked out Aldi's Specially Selected duck breast which will feed two people for just £3.29.
Lidl's Deluxe Oak & Applewood smoke Scottish salmon slices also made the posh nosh list for just £2.99, proving that anyone can live the lifestyle of the rich and famous when they know where to bag a bargain.
Booze is never far from a fancy food shopping list, with Champagne, Prosecco and gin from Lidl and Aldi all picked out by Tatler.
Champagne from both brands have swept the board, with prices ranging from as little as £5.79 for a bottle of Lidl prosecco to a bottle of their gin for £15.99.
When it comes to the champagne lifestyle, Tatler reckon the budget supermarkets have got you covered, with Aldi's Veuve Monsigny champagne costing just £10.99.
Similarly, Lidl's Comte de Senneval Brut champagne will set you back just £9.99.
The luxury lifestyle brand also named Alid's Pomegranate Noir Luxury reed diffuser as one of their "everyday essentials", as well as the German supermarket's Caviar Illumination day cream moisturiser.
And if you want your home to have the scent of wealth, Aldi's Luxury No.1 Lime, Basil & Mandarin candle for £3.99 will do the trick, according to Tatler.
The German supermarket chains have been trying to capture middle class shoppers for some time now.
