Asda is selling a cheese advent calendar – and it costs just £8

Each door has a different cheese variety and the options include Applewood, Mexicana and Jarlsberg.

Asda
Gouda news…Asda has made this cheese advent calendar and it costs £8

But you’ll have to wait a bit to nab one as they won’t be available to buy from the supermarket until November 6.

The only downside is that there’s just 24 doors meaning you have no cheesy surprise on Christmas morning.

Surely a baby cheesus would have been so easy to make Asda?

It also must be kept in the fridge, which is gouda news because we can’t imagine anything worse than it ponging out your living room.

We’ve moved so far since the days of just chocolate advent calender’s – now there’s something for everyone.

Booze fans will be glad to know that John Lewis is selling a gin advent calendar.

It contains 25 5cl bottles of Edinburgh gin, with varying flavours.

While Iceland has one with 24 mini bottles of wine but it has a pretty hefty price tag of £39.99.

There are lots of options for beauty fans too, including this £55 treat from Asos.

But if chocolate is your one true love then this Reece’s one looks very tempting.

Advent calendars are usually bought for novelty so it’s worth double checking that all the prizes actually add up.

Otherwise you could end up spending more than you planned.
