Why you need to check Pricehistory.co.uk before buying ANYTHING from Argos

WITH Christmas just around the corner, you'll want to know what you're buying is a winner.

And one website can help Argos customers make sure they're getting a great deal.

Last week, shoppers accused Argos of pushing up its toy prices before it's popular 3 for 2 sale.

And if you're worried  will help you work what's a bargain and what's not.

It tracks data for all the items on the Argos website.

You can set-up price alerts so you can see when is the best time to buy and the site has a section which shows what items have been reduced each day.

We had a quick look on the site - and found some big items that had been sold cheaper before.

Argos is selling the Complete Barbie Home Set for £59.99.

But a glance at the website found it was being sold in January 2016 for just £34.99 - a difference of £25.

Helpfully it also shows the highest price it's sold for too.

In June this year it was being sold for £119.99 so you'll still be making a saving of £60.

The Rotary Ladies' Quartz Watch is available for £69.99.

But the in August you could have picked up the time-piece for just £39.99 - £30 difference.

If you're after a television this Christmas then currently Hitatchi's 50-inch HD Smart TV is available for £399.99.

But you could have bought the TV for just  £299.99 in February - £100 less than what you can get it for now.
