Waitrose recalls four chocolate bars because they may contain PLASTIC
Customers who have purchased any of the products should return them to Waitrose for a full refund
WAITROSE has urgently called on shoppers to return four of its chocolate bars over fears they may contain plastic.
Affected products include the Waitrose white chocolate bar (85g)and the white chocolate with matcha tea and pistachio (85g).
The Waitrose milk chocolate bar with pistachio, almond and hazelnut and the Waitrose milk chocolate bar with feuilletine and sea salt are also being recalled.
They all had the best before end of July 2018 expiration date.
Waitrose is now urging anyone who bought one of the chocolate bar to return to store for a full refund.
Customers can also call 080018884 to get their money back.
Waitrose said: "We are recalling the above products, as there is the potential that a small number of bars may be contaminated with pieces of plastic".
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

A spokesperson for Waitrose also told the Sun Online: "During a production run some pieces of a plastic mould broke off.
"Although we believe only a small amount of the production run was affected we are asking customers with any of the batch to return it for a refund.
"We're very sorry to our customers for this."
No other Waitrose products are known to be affected but point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling the chocolate bars.
It is not the first time the posh retailer is recalling some of its chocolates.
Earlier this summer, it was forced to recall thousands of boxes of cookies over fears some could be a health risk to people with nut allergies.

The affected products were batches of its 8 Belgian White Chocolate Chunk All Butter Cookies as some could contain "undeclared hazelnut".
LIDL, Waitrose and Ocado also p after blue plastic was discovered in the product.
