Deal or No Deal star Noel Edmond’s files show 30 members of ‘corrupt’ Lloyds’ staff were ‘involved in loan scam’
NOEL Edmonds says the banking fraud which pushed him to a suicide bid is much bigger than anyone knew.
The former Deal or No Deal star has handed files to police naming 30-plus staff at the London HQ of bank HBOS.
He claims they were also involved in a £1billion loans scam which led to the jailing of two corrupt bankers from the bank’s Reading branch and four accomplices.
Noel, 68, took an overdose in 2005 after “losing everything” to the swindlers.
He recorded heartbreaking messages to his four daughters before downing painkillers.
He is suing Lloyds, which now owns HBOS, for £300million and making a TV documentary about the scandal.
Lloyds denies claims by Noel that it is failing to fully cooperate with police over the new allegations.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said yesterday: “We are investigating this report.”
