Vouchers have been hidden in gluten free, vegan and vegetarian sandwiches too, as well as their range of salads and wraps, so people don’t miss out.

This is the biggest food giveaway M&S has ever done and winners will be able to claim a free main and drink.

But you’ll have to fork out extra if you want a snack on the side.

Matthew Pudney from M&S said: “Most customers have a repertoire of 5 or 6 favourites that generally includes ham, BLT, egg and cress, salmon and cucumber and of course prawn mayo.

"We hope our giveaway with encourage them to take a risk and try something new!”

Even though 100,000 vouchers are hidden in their lunchtime packaging, M&S reckon they sell seven sandwiches a second, so you’ll need to be quick.

The competition lasts from September 18 until October 1 and winners can claim their free meal until October 14.

We reported only last month that M&S have launched a new meal deal that is cheaper than ever before.

The new lunchtime deal means that shoppers can pick up a swanky sandwich or salad, snack and drink for £3.50.

Normally, the supermarket’s meal deal is overlooked thanks to it’s £4 price tag, but now it’s 50p cheaper.
