E.ON is offering free insulation for British households this winter – and you don’t even have to be a customer to benefit.
The insulation – which is worth around £775 per household based on figures by the Energy Saving Trust – is being offered for free to all homeowners, landlords and private tenants who have their landlord’s permission.
E.on claims that the average family could save up to £285 a year on their heating bills by installing both cavity wall and loft insulation.
Combined with the £775 saving on buying and installing the insulation, the offer adds up to more than £1,000 saving in the first year.
But there a few catches.
It's a limited offer and E.on reserves itself the right to withdraw the deal at anytime, which means you'll have to be quick to avoid being disappointed.
The offer also excludes housing association or council tenants, flats and maisonettes.
To see if you qualify for free insulation or if the offer has been amended you need to visit or call 0330 400 1083.

According to Consumer group some suppliers offer free insulation if you're eligible under the Energy Companies Obligation (ECO) scheme.
The ECO scheme means that gas and electricity suppliers with more than 250,000 household customers - including British Gas, EDF Energy, Eon, Npower, SSE and Scottish Power - are obliged to help households with energy efficiency measures.
You may be eligible if you're on government benefits. But suppliers will also take into account how much your home will benefit from insulation.
Research published this week showed loyal customers have been overcharged by nearly £1,000 by the Big Six suppliers over the last five years.

British Gas, SSE, E.ON, Npower, EDF and Scottish Power use fixed tariffs to entice new business. But once they expire customers are switched to standard variable tariffs costing up to 30 per cent more.
The Sun last year revealed seven in ten families were stuck on higher tariffs while new customers were offered cheaper deals.
A recent uSwitch poll found a third of people are concerned about paying energy bills next winter and more than half are struggling with finances.
Earlier this month, British Gas this month announced electricity bills are set to rise 12.5 per cent.
The rise follows a string of other price hikes from providers, which will hit customers just in time for winter. But the good news is that it can be avoided.
By switching to a competitively priced fixed tariff, households can expect to save £221 on average, according to comparethemarket.
