Best bank holiday weekend sales and deals – discounts of up to 70% in high street shops

SHOPS have slashed their prices in the run up to the long weekend, with bargain hunters heading for the high street.

Big name brands including TopShop, New Look and Marks and Spencer have all extended sales - and some have discounts of up to 70 per cent off.

Earlier this week, independent analyst Richard Hyman told that many have extended their sales for the bank holiday weekend, in a bid to boost poor sales.

Some of the discounts aren't as good as we saw during the mid-season sales in March, where some retailers slashed prices by up to 80 per cent.

But there are plenty of items up for grabs, as shops try to get rid of leftover stock.

We've taken a look art some of the best bargains available this weekend at a range of high street shops.

Marks and Spencer up to 30 per cent off homeware

The high street shop has up to 30 per cent off a range of homeware, including beddings, towels, cushions and throws.

Prices range from £1.60 for a face towel up to £14.40 for a bath sheet.
