JELLY Babies have been given a makeover for the first time - but the new flavours might divide some sweet fans.

The new tropical Jelly Babies, which hit shelves this month, come in three varieties: mango, pineapple and banana flavour.

The sugary-treat makers claim that it's the first time that classic sweet has been given a makeover.

They said: "New Jelly Babies tropical are sure to make sweet fans feel like they are only a bite away from the Caribbean".

But we're not so sure... Despite being one of the world's most popular fruits, bananas often divide opinion.

And the colours might also confuse snackers.

The banana flavoured one is yellow, the mango is orange and oddly the pineapple flavour is green.

But fans of the classic Jelly Babies flavours need not worry, as they will still be available alongside the new fruity packs.

The 165g bags have a recommended retail price of £1.32 and the launch will be backed by a £6 million advertising campaign.

It's not the only sweet that has been given a makeover in recent years. In May, Skittles and Starburst unveiled new spicy varieties but unfortunately they are only available in the US.
