BURGER fans will now be able to order their favourite Big Mac at the push of the button across the UK.

McDonald’s last month announced it partnered with UberEats to bring its own new delivery service to the UK.

Delivery was initially launched across 22 locations in London and a further 10 restaurants in Leeds and Nottingham.

But the service is now available nationwide from more than 150 restaurants in 16 cities - including Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh.

The McDelivery option on UberEats will feature McDonald’s breakfast, lunch and dinner options and will be available within 1.5 miles of the participating restaurants from 7 am to 2 am in London and 8am to midnight in other cities – seven days a week.

The UberEats app is free to download from the app store and it’s available on Apple and Android handsets.

The standard delivery delivery charge is £2.50 and the menu in London includes breakfast favourites such as the Double Sausage & Egg McMuffin meal for £3.89 and classics such as a Big Mac for £2.89 or six Chicken McNuggets for £2.89.

Customers can also order extra value meals such as a Big Meal which includes a Bic Mac burger, a side dish like fries or a shaker side salad and a drink for less than £5.

“Delivery is something that my customers often ask about so it’s exciting that we’re now up and running with McDelivery in a selection of my London restaurants,” Claude Abi-Gerges, who owns and operates five of the London restaurants taking part in the trial, said.

“The McDelivery service is designed with the customer in mind, bringing a new level of convenience. It’s the next chapter in how we get freshly made, great-tasting food to our customers in a way that suits them and fits around their busy lives,” he added.

Mathieu Proust, General Manager of UberEATS, said the company is excited to be working with McDonald’s to offer delivery of their food in cities across the UK.

"Our technology means people can get the food they want with the speed and reliability they’ve come to expect from Uber,” he added.

The new delivery service comes after KFC rolled out more ways for customer to order food at home, including a new partnership with Just Eat.

In February, KFC rival Burger King rolled out home delivery service to 34 more restaurants.

It started trialling a new delivery service almost a year ago in eight locations before pushing it out to branches around the UK.

In the increasingly intense battle between food delivery services, Deliveroo earlier this month also announced it is extending it’s delivery hours in London, following a similar move from UberEats in May.
