These simple steps could save you HUNDREDS on your Sky Bill every year
Avid customers who are not benefiting from discounts on their current packages could save up to 20 per cent
SAVING hundreds of pounds could be a matter of a few clicks for some loyal Sky customers.
Sky is reportedly scrapping some of its sports channels and replacing them with channels focused on specific sports such as football, golf and cricket to combats declining viewer numbers.
Hannah Maundrell, editor-in-chief of told the Sun Online that the reported changes to Sky Sport packages should mean customers will be able to pick and choose the channels they actually watch, which could save them some serious money.
“If you’re paying full price for your Sky package you really need to think about whether you need everything you're paying for and if you’re getting the best deal," she said.
She revealed that it "pays to be brave" as Sky is notoriously receptive to haggling especially if a customer threatens to leave.
"It’s really as simple as giving them a call and asking them how low they are willing to go to keep you as a customer," Ms Maundrell said.
"For the best results do your research first; know what you would pay for your package as a new customer, check what the same deal would cost elsewhere and look at alternatives like Now TV – Sky’s On Demand service,” she added.
The Sun has also previously reported on how customers can beat Sky's price hikes, announced earlier this year.
