“People always ask me what the catch is, but the best thing is that there is no catch. You don’t have to be a genius to get to grips with how the scheme works. It’s simple.

Sterling tips for bargains
MUCH has been made of the weak Pound, with firms putting up prices to protect their profits.
But deals site reckons it’s possible to get almost anything that has increased in price since sterling has been hit following the Brexit vote.
Recent finds by site members include 32GB, 9.7in iPads at Argos for £469, cheaper than Apple’s original costs of £499 and well beneath its post-Brexit bump-up to £549.
And it can even help on your weekly shop, with six individual bananas costing the same as five packed ones at Aldi — meaning one banana for free. Here are our tips.
1. Check the price before you buy. Use websites such as Price Runner and CamelCamelCamel to see how a product’s price has changed over time. It gives you room to negotiate and shows the best deals.
2. Get social and sign up. Follow retailers and deal forums on their social media pages. You’ll get notified about sales and discount codes first and even early access to sales events.
3. Let the deals come to you. Being deal-savvy doesn’t have to take hours. Set alerts on products you want to buy on and the app will tell you of offers.
4. Research alternatives and check reviews. Check reviews on Which? and other sites as you may find a different product that is better for less.
5. Check for discount and voucher codes. You may be able to use multiple codes, called stacking, to cut costs even further.
6. Consider refurbished items. If you’re making a big buy such as a new smartphone or games console, consider a refurbished item. You can buy direct from retailers or from their eBay outlet pages. They may have minor marks and the packaging may be damaged but it will be a fully functioning product. If you’re purchasing from an official retail outlet it should come with a warranty.
7. Wait for a price that’s right for you. Do you really need the very latest tech? If not, buy an older model for a far lower price.
Being friendly really pays off
DAVE OBEE from Gravesend, Kent, says: “Get to know staff in your local food hall and ask them when they reduce prices. You can get great bargains like whole chickens for £2 before the store closes.”
Send us your tips to sunsavers@the-sun.co.uk and you’ll get 28 codes worth £5 if your tip is used.
