A BIG kitchen, a spacious bathroom or open plan living often attracts buyers to a home - but the colour it is painted can also impact how much they're willing to pay.
According to , adding the colour blue to either the inside or outside of your home can add thousands of pounds to the price.
A study of more than 30,000 properties sold on Zillow’s American website found that various shades of blue helped to add value.
A spokesperson said: "Homes with light pale blue to soft periwinkle blue bathrooms sold for £4,273 more than expected.
"While homes with blue kitchens sold for a £1,428 premium."

Blue bedrooms, dining rooms and navy front doors were also found to add value, suggesting that buyers like the calming, classic feel the colour adds to the space.
