A faulty Hotpoint fridge freezer is believed to have started the deadly fire at the Grenfell Tower block that killed at least 79 people.
Prime Minister Theresa May has now ordered an immediate examination by experts of the Hotpoint fridge freezer involved in the blaze.
The fridge sparked the blaze has not been subject to any product recall however, Metropolitan Detective Superintendent Fiona McCormack confirmed this morning.
But Whirlpool, the company who own the Hotpoint brand, has now issued a product notice for the appliance.
It is asking for customers who have one of these fridge freezers to register their details for further information while an investigation takes place.
In a statement, Hotpoint said: "Words cannot express our sorrow at this terrible tragedy. We offer our most profound condolences to the victims, those who have lost loved-ones, homes, and possessions, and to their friends and families."
"Our thoughts and prayers are with all those involved, including the emergency services who risked their lives to extinguish the blaze and rescue those in the building."

The firm also confirmed that it was working with cops to assist with the ongoing investigations and that it was unable to speculate on further details at this time.
Whirlpool bought the Hotpoint, Indesit and Creda brands in 2014 - before the fridge freezer in question was discontinued.
The company has been at the centre of one of the biggest product safety warnings in recent years.
In October 2015 the firm admitted that 3.8 million tumble dryers could be dangerous and that affected models would need to be repaired or replaced.
It promised that the machines were safe to use as long as they weren't left unattended.
It wasn't until February this year that the firm backtracked on its advice, telling customers not to use affected models.

The appliance that is believed to have started the first is Hotpoint fridge freezer model number FF175BP.
Hotpoint has now issued a product notice for that model and another one with the model number FF175BG.
It believed that this is the same model, but just in a different colour.
Around 64,000 fridge freezers were sold between March 2006 and July 2009 before they were discontinued.
HOW TO CHECK IF YOUR APPLIANCE HAS BEEN RECALLED
Every year, thousands of faulty appliances catch fire.
The Hotpoint fridge freezer model that started the blaze was not one where a fault had been identified by the manufacturer, Whirlpool.
But millions of fire risk appliances are still being used around the UK.
As there is no central registered for recalled appliances, manufacturers rely on customers registering their details when they buy an item.

Whirlpool believes that the actual number of appliances in use in homes today is a lot lower.

What are your rights and can you get a refund?
If you have a faulty appliance - not just one of these models - and you bought it less than 30 days ago, then you're entitled to claim a refund from the shop you bought it from under the Consumer Rights Act.
Anyone with faulty appliance that is within its warranty - usually 12 months from when you bought it - should be able to get a repair free of charge from the manufacturer.
Anyone who has one of the Hotpoint fridges that has been issued with a product notice will have to wait and speak to the firm to get further details.
If an investigation does identify a fault with the machine then it will up to the firm and Trading Standards authorities to decide the best course of action.
