How to bag a free child’s ticket to a London theatre show, including The Lion King, Wicked and Dreamgirls

IF you want to spoil your kids with tickets to a west end theatre show, but you're struggling to stump up the cash, you can get a free child’s ticket worth around £50.
From 10am tomorrow, any full-paying adult can get a free child's ticket (for those aged 16 and under) to one of more than 30 west end shows, including Stomp, The Lion King, School of Rock and Wicked.
As long as you buy a full-priced adult ticket, you will get one free child ticket, and the option to purchase up to two extra children’s tickets at half price.
There are 170,000 tickets available in total (including both adult and child tickets), according to MoneySavingExpert.com, and you can book until the offer ends on August 31.

The offer is part of a drive by the Society of London Theatre, a not-for-profit organisation, to encourage more young people to get involved in theatre.
It means parents could save around £50 per child's ticket (the cost of a circle seat ticket for Wicked), plus there are no booking fees to pay.
There’s no limit to the amount of times you can take advantage of the offer, but you can only book a maximum of eight tickets per show, with one free child per paying adult.
It's also worth noting that performance times may be a little awkward, as some of the plays, such as The Phantom of the Opera and Les Misérables, don't offer any deals on weekend shows, so you'd have to go during a weekday evening.
Each show has its own calendar, though, so you can see what dates and times are available, and find out which will suit you best.
