Lidl launches three premium whiskies for Father’s Day – and they cost just £17.49 each
At under £20 each, sons and daughters can treat their dads to a high quality whisky without breaking the bank
LIDL has launched three new single malt scotch whiskies in time for Father's Day next week - and they cost just £17.49 each.
The trio of premium whiskies - which are available in stores across the UK - brings Lidl’s total number of own-label Scotch whiskies to 10.
The new Ben Bracken whiskies include the Speyside single malt scotch whisky, which has flavours of vanilla, honey, cinnamon and creamy caramel, and the Islay single malt scotch whisky, which has an array of aromas including salted bananas, baked apples and a hint of smokiness.
The Highland single malt scotch whisky incorporates sweeter flavours, mixing crème brûlée, glazed orange segments and honey dipped in brioche aromas.
Each of the three 70cl whisky bottles beat comparable rivals when it comes to price, with the Lidl Speyside single malt half the price of Waitrose’s Macallan Gold Speyside single malt, which costs £36.

The bargain chain's Islay single malt is also cheaper than Waitrose's Bowmore Islay single malt whisky, which costs £29, while the Highland single malt scotch whisky is cheaper than Tesco’s Highland Park malt whisky, at £25.

"With each bottle well under £20, these topnotch tipples enable budding whisky enthusiasts to try premium whiskies at incredible value.”
Yesterday it was revealed that Lidl is collaborating with fashion icon and TV celebrity Heidi Klum on a new affordable fashion line.
The collection will launch throughout Lidl’s network of over 650 stores across the UK and will be rolled out to stores in the US and Europe later this year.
Details of the new fashion partnership are being kept under wraps for now.
