JUST CHILLIN'

Aldi is selling a portable drinks fridge and it’s HALF the price of Tesco’s one

Aldi’s portable fridge costs £179.99 and is only available online while stocks last

ALDI is now selling a portable drinks fridge and it’s HALF the price of a similar one from Tesco.

The bargain supermarket is hoping to cash-in with thirsty shoppers, as Brits gear up for a scorching Bank Holiday weekend.

Forecasters are predicting that temperatures could reach 30°C this weekend.

The fridge doesn’t come cheap with its price tag of £179.99, but it’s cheaper than Tesco’s version which costs £393.

The biggest snag is that the item is only available online, so shoppers will have to wait until Tuesday at least to get it delivered.

Plus, you'll need to invest in a extension lead to make sure the fridge is connected to a power socket.

It has a large 50 litre capacity - enough room to fit 21 wines bottles - and its lockable brakes mean your drinks won't roll away if you're on a slope.

If you’re really skint you could always just opt for a cool box packed with ice or fill up a paddling pool with cold water as it will probably do the same job.

The bargain supermarket reckons the portable fridge is the perfect partner to its new £99 outdoor pizza oven.

The pimped-up BBQ went on sale in stores around the UK but is expected to sell out quickly.

This is because it’s part of Aldi’s “specialbuys” range which means that it's only available while stocks last.

Aldi is also selling an electric grill costing £34.99 as well as a reclining chair for £22.99, as part of its new garden range.

It’s not the first time Aldi has caused a stir with its limited edition luxury items which are sold at a discount.

In April the supermarket’s inflatable hot tub sold out very quickly leaving some customers disappointed.

While shoppers also scrambled to buy Aldi’s scented candles which smell just like posh ones from Jo Malone.
