B&M’s new copycat lamp range looks exactly like ones from Next, Argos and Homebase – but cost up to FOUR times less

The new lamp range from B&M looks just like ones on sale at high street shops, including Next, Argos and Homebase but shoppers could save up to £125 

HOMEWARE store B&M has launched a new range of floor lamps that look exactly like ones from Next, Argos and Homebase - but they cost up to FOUR times less than the high street versions.

The shop has been dubbed the new Woolworths by retail experts as it sells everything from food to toys to bedding - and all at bargain prices.

B&M is hoping that its new homeware range will be a hit with shoppers by stocking cut-price versions of designs available at popular high street shops.

It’s Florence chandelier has a price tag of £34.99 and it looks very similar to one sold by Next, which costs £160.

The bargain shop claims this is a saving of £125.

While its retro chrome lamp is £89 cheaper than one from Dunelm.

The cool looking oversized desk lamp costs £49.99 in B&M, while it costs £139 at Dunelm.

B&M’s Ella Mosiac is also comparable with a gunmetal one from Argos.

The Argos lamp costs £97.99, while the B&M one costs £29.99 - a saving of £68.

B&M's Amelie Crystal lamp costs £34.99, compared to £99 from Dunelm for one that looks very similar.

A neutral-coloured lamp with wooden stand from Homebase costs £87.99 but shoppers looking to pick up a bargain could opt for the B&M version that has a price tag of £49.99.

The final lamp in the range is B&M's take on the popular tripod.

It costs £29.99, compared to one from Next that costs £90.

From its first store in Blackpool, Lancashire in 1978, the retailer has had a meteoric rise to success.

Since former Tesco chief executive Sir Terry Leahy joined as chairman in 2012, B&M has grown from 20 to 533 shops in the UK.

Now around 3 million shoppers visit a store every week and it has over a million fans on its Facebook page.

In January, it reported record Christmas sales figures. Sales rose 7.2 per cent at the group's stores in the 13 weeks to Christmas Eve.
