Supermarkets sell the SAME products for different prices depending which aisle you’re in… and here’s how to find the bargains
Asda, Sainsbury's and Tescos have been charging different prices for the same products, depending on where they're sold in the store
BRITAIN'S biggest supermarkets have been caught out selling the same products for different prices - in different aisles of the same stores.
A probe by revealed that Asda, Sainsbury's and Tescos have been charging different prices for the same products, depending on where exactly they're sold in the store.
Within the same supermarket, the same product is often stocked in multiple locations.
But shockingly, the price can change between two different aisles of the same store.
Some meats are cheaper on the meat counter, whilst others are cheaper in the pre-packaged section - it all seems to depend on the specific product.
For example, the investigation found that Asda was selling two different-sized containers of their own brand cotton buds.
The containers stocked in the baby aisle worked out at 0.16p per bud, whilst boxes of the exact same buds worked out at 0.58p per bud when sold in the beauty aisle.

An Asda spokesman said: “Customers like to shop in lots of different ways and choice is an important factor.”
Meanwhile, Tesco said: “We offer the same great value on products, wherever you find them.”
And Sainsbury’s said: “We operate on the principle of ‘bigger pack, better value’ as much as possible.
