TESCO shoppers are rushing to buy a dupe of a popular Cadbury easter egg that's been described as "delicious".
The raisin and biscuit chocolate egg is similar to a luxury Cadbury offering, but it's almost half the price.
The hollow Tesco egg contains raisins and biscuit pieces in the milk chocolate shell and can be picked up by Clubcard holders for just £8.
In comparison Cadbury's Dairy Milk Fruit and Nut Inclusions Ultimate Egg is £15.
The Cadbury egg is similar to the Tesco counterpart, but also contains a bag of milk chocolates.
Shoppers have expressed their excitement at the new release from Tesco.
A post on Facebook group Snack Reviews read: "The shell is thick and full of biscuits and raisins".
Comments included: "Looks delish", "oh yum, that’s so delicious" and "OMG yes, yes, yes".
While the eggs are similar the Cadbury eggs weighs considerably more than its Tesco counterpart coming in at 400g, compared to 280g.
Shoppers could be hunting for bargains this year following warnings that Easter egg prices are set to soar.
The price of a security-tagged bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs has already been described as "laughable".
There are simple ways to compare prices across supermarkets including the Google Shopping app and trolley.co.uk.
However, the price concerns have not stopped shoppers getting excited about new releases, including a new pistachio Lindt Lindor Easter egg spotted at Tesco.
Waitrose has also caused a storm with a croissant-shaped offering, while M&S fans have rushed to pick up a Scrummy Bunny Munch Tin.
Cadbury revealed its 2025 Easter offering last month with a range that includes Dairy Milk favourites and a new selection box packed with classic goodies, alongside the return of the iconic egg.
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn't mean it's always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that'll check prices for you - so don't be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
