Aldi shoppers go wild for spicy dupe of McDonald’s favourite that was axed from menus last year
ALDI shoppers area going wild for a dupe of a McDonald's favourite that left menus last year.
Inspired by the fast food chain's Chicken Big Mac, the bargain supermarket's Spicy Chicken Stack burger can be found in the freezer aisle.
The fiery version of the chicken burger is a chicken fillet coated in breadcrumbs and topped with a slice of burger cheese and crispy hash brown and can be cooked in an air fryer or oven.
It was spotted and posted by New Foods UK Facebook page and followers were quick to hit the like button.
The burger costs just £1.49 and you can find your nearest Aldi by using the online store finder.
It might also be worth calling your local branch to see if they have any in stock.

The Chicken Big Mac was on McDonald's menus last autumn but for fans it was sadly only for a limited time.
Before that it was twice on menus since first launching in 2022.
The popular burger contains a chicken patty, pickle, cheese and lettuce, though was not spicy, and was priced at £4.79.
That means you can save £3.30 buying the Aldi version.
Meanwhile an Extra McSpicy joined menus on February 7 and Maccies has said it will be the "spiciest and tastiest" burger yet.
The secret ingredient to the mouth-tingling kick is Frank's RedHot mayonnaise.
The twist on the original burger is available in all UK and Ireland restaurants, at drive-thrus and via home delivery apps.
The latest iteration of the burger comes after the McSpicy was first introduced back in 2021.
McDonald's made the McSpicy a permanent addition to the menu last year, but fans haven't been overly impressed with the flavour.
Diners branded it "underwhelming" and "mild" so Maccies has decided to up its game with the new addition.
The original McSpicy was one of six major items that was removed from grills in October last year, along with the Chicken Big Mac.
Fans also bid farewell to the Philly Cheese Stack.
The burger featured two Irish beef patties with a cheese sauce, two cheese slices, onions and pickles.
Aldi is well known for its "fakeaway" dupes of fast food chains.
In January it launched its own version of Happy Meals.
One box contains 12 chicken nuggets, two tomato ketchup dips, two French fries and two orange ice coolers.
