Shoppers were heartbroken when the original snack disappeared from shelves
ALDI shoppers are going wild for a dupe of an iconic discontinued Cadbury Easter chocolate treat.
Customers have discovered that Aldi sells its own version of the classic Cadbury Egg'n'Spoon carton.

The iconic Easter treat was axed in 2023 - and fans were devastated when they found out.
But its loyal followers can can now get their fix from Aldi's alternative: Egg Joyables.
Aldi first unveiled its Egg Joyables in 2018, and the snack delights Brits all over again each time it is released ahead of Easter.
The seasonal sensations are made from chocolate mousse inside a milk choc casing.

You get four of the delicious eggs in each pack and have a range of flavours to choose from.
Last year, the selection included Cookies and Creme, Milk Creme and Choco Creme.
Overjoyed fans rushed to social media to hail the return of Egg Joyables to Aldi shelves.
One gushed to a snack reviews page with almost half-a-million members: "Choco Creme Egg Joyables now at Aldi.

"With four milk chocolate eggs to share and a creme filling, plus two spoons."
A fellow enthusiast made it clear the treat would not last long: "For sharing? What planets are these people from!"

Somebody quipped: "Not the one I'm on."
And another wrote: "Look forward to these each Easter!"
Someone else added: "Omg I love it!"
The original egg mousse snack from Cadbury was axed "to reflect [their] fans' changing taste buds," according to the confectionery giant.

One mother described her son's heartbreak at hearing the news.
She said: “My son is very nostalgic of the Egg‘n’Spoon chocolate eggs. As it is Easter, he wanted me to buy some.
"I have just found out that it is discontinued! Why? He says he is heartbroken. Kids' taste buds do not change! A real shame!”
Cadbury was quick to point the family towards alternative treats.
The chocolatier commented on the post: “However, we have some great new treats to try this year!”
These include a new Dairy Milk Half & Half Ultimate Easter egg and the new Creme Egg Bar.

Another blasted the "horrible decision".
They said: "I looked forward to getting these each year and have spend hours looking for them to now realize this. Please bring them back! It made Easter for me."
